Pest Control Services in St. Charles, MO
In 1769, French-Canadian fur trader Louis Blanchette settled at the site of St. Charles, Missouri and named it Les Petites Côtes, which is French for The Little Hills. At the time of its settlement, the land was under Spanish jurisdiction. The name St. Charles is derived from the first church built in the area which was dedicated to the Catholic saint Charles Borromeo. Subsequently, the town became known as San Carlos del Misuri.
Following the Louisiana Purchase in 1804, the United States assumed control and the town’s name was anglicized to St. Charles. The city is still alive and well today, with the population rising above 65,000 people, many of whom are Pestshield customers.
